About

Info:node is a collation of cuttings, news and opinion related to the regional newspaper business. Most posts are centred on the United Kingdom, but there are general topics which impact on the industry regardless of the location.

Particular attention is given to the rapidly evolving nature of the consumption of news; (or not as the case may be), the opportunities and threats of the web and other developments.

“It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.”—Charles Darwin

Infonode is written by Peter Morgan, who worked for Media Wales, part of the Trinity Mirror Regionals group of companies. The views expressed on these pages are personal observations and thoughts on the developments in the newspaper
industry.

The image at the head of the page is the new Media Wales building, Six Park Street in Cardiff. Media Wales will base their operations from this building in summer 2008. Like most new buildings in Cardiff, it’s pointy.
